What is the downtime for a microneedling treatment?
Microneedling is non-invasive, generally painless and performed very quickly, which gives it a quick recovery time. Immediately after treatment, skin will appear red and flushed, with a sunburn sensation. This dissipates over the next few hours. Over the next 2-3 days, some swelling, redness and dryness is normal. We recommend patients to avoid makeup, exercise, hot baths or saunas for 24 hours. After that, it's important to use SPF and protect your skin from sun damage, as your skin will be sensitive at this time.
