PRP
PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is a popular treatment in skin and hair health, and is derived from the patient’s blood. It is then spun in a centrifuge to separate the red blood cells from the plasma, which contains concentrated growth factors and regenerative properties. This substance is then applied to the hair in areas of concern to rejuvenate dormant hair follicles and stimulate new, healthy hair growth.
PDGF
PDGF, or platelet-derived growth factor, is a naturally-occurring protein that stimulates collagen, helps in the healing process, and improves cellular turnover. Like PRP, it is applied to the hairline in areas of concern or where hair loss is present. The proteins are able to work at the root of the hair, signalling to begin regrowth of thicker, fuller hair.
